Duterte forbids children to leave home because of Corona: "Watch TV"
The Philippine president said the move was intended to protect young people from the outbreak of the British mutation.
Throughout most of the plague, the elderly and children were instructed to stay in their homes.
This is despite the criticism leveled at the decision, and the fear that the local economy will not recover without the return of "family activities"

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has re-imposed a ban on children aged ten to 14 leaving their homes, advising them to watch television at the venue.
This is due to the spread of the British mutation of the corona virus in the country.
"Go back to your homes," Duterte said Monday.
"Adults are harder to manage, but at the age of ten to 14 they are content with just television. They can focus their attention on it for an entire day. I'm just scared because this new mutation hurts young children."
Throughout most of the period since the epidemic broke out, continuous curfews have been imposed in most areas of the Philippines, and young people and the elderly have been banned from leaving their homes.

But Duterte overturned the decision, explaining that the British mutation is more contagious and that the young should be kept.
17 people in the country have already been infected with the mutation, including three children.
While many parents deviated from regulations throughout the period and allowed their children to play in parks or on the street, the restrictions prevented families from visiting the malls, which are the center of community life and where most of the consumption takes place.
Classrooms also remained closed.
Critics of the movement's restrictions say the move hurts the state's recovery from its first recession in three decades.
