Kellyanne Conway is one of the most important Trump supporters.
The lawyer led the former US president's election campaign in 2016, and was then his advisor in the White House until August 2020.
However, her family is less sympathetic to Trump.
Husband George T. Conway III has publicly speculated on Trump's state of mind several times, and 16-year-old daughter Claudia is stylized as an opponent of Trump on her social media channels.
"My mother's job ruined my life," she once wrote on Twitter.
Now the daughter followed up with a post published on the TikTok video app: Her mother Kellyanne Conway shared a topless picture of her on Twitter, the 16-year-old initially claimed there.
In the video published on Monday, Claudia Conway says her mother took the nude photo to "use it against me one day."
The 16-year-old also said her mother could have "accidentally posted" it or she was hacked.
However, it is more likely that her mother intentionally shared it.
Photos on the net show a picture of the 16-year-old, which appears in Kellyanne Conway's Twitter fleet.
Fleets are short messages that Twitter automatically deletes after 24 hours.
Addressing her mother, Claudia said: "Well, Kellyanne, you're going to jail."
Police start investigations
Twitter confirmed to the US magazine "Variety" that the matter was being investigated.
The short message service said it was currently unsure how long the post was visible and how many people saw it.
According to the New York Post, the police have started the investigation.
A police officer confirmed to the newspaper an operation at the Conways estate in the US state of New Jersey.
The daughter herself apologized for the allegations against her mother in another TikTok video on Tuesday.
She is now sure that there is a hack behind the post.
Her mother would "never do anything like that on purpose."
She shouldn't have made the matter public, she says.
Father George also got involved on Twitter - and shared the daughter's wish not to bother the family any longer.
Kellyanne Conway has not yet commented on the incident.
