The winds on the joint list continue to stir:

despite great efforts, a massive campaign of pressure, mediation attempts by senior members of the Arab sector and marathon discussions for long hours into the night - it seems that the break-up of the list is inevitable, after another meeting tonight (Wednesday) The three factions (Hadash, Ta'al and Balad) with Prime Minister Mansour Abbas in an attempt to produce an agreed outline for running for the 24th Knesset in the same format as the last election campaign, in which the list was composed of representatives of the four parties representing the Arab sector, failed. And reached a dead end, similar to the meetings held in recent days.

At the end of the meeting in Shefar'am, MK Abbas stated that "the representatives of the factions that make up the joint list do not want to respect the values of religion and society, and also want to remain on the bench of the political field." He said, "We tried to prevent the joint list from falling apart. , Now the decision is in the hands of the RAAM Council.

It should be emphasized that between the chairman of RAAM, who represents the southern faction (and the moderate DS) in the Islamic movement, and the other faction leaders the joint list has not only the issue of ideological disagreements and political gaps with his leadership partners, but also in the hands of MK Abbas Recent in-depth internal polls, and according to his associates, these polls clearly show that an Arab party led by him will win 6 seats even if he competes head-to-head with the votes of Arab voters against the joint list.

The data that emerges from the polls held by MK Abbas confirm a report published last Monday in "Israel Today", in which a source close to MK Abbas was quoted as saying that the chairman of RAAM "should be at the top of the joint list."

As a condition for running in a unified framework in the joint list, the RAAM set a number of requirements, including the commitment of the other components of the list to maintain the feelings of religious Muslim voters regarding the party's legislative initiatives and support for laws to be put to the vote.

Hadash was furious at the demands placed by RAAM: "We will not allow a branch of the Likud on the joint list."

The RAAM responded: "This is a populist response.

Any further populist response will be met with a populist response from us, to which we will also add proof. "

Another demand made by RAAM is that the other representatives of the parties that make up the joint list will agree to publicly declare "which candidate among the party leaders members of the joint list will be willing to recommend to the prime minister, and with which candidates can work and in what way, and what are the limits of influence."

A statement from the Ra'am party said: "We want the joint voters not to face the Pandora's box, but to know exactly what they will get from us as their elected representatives.

"Our only goal before us is to strengthen the political power of the Arab voter, and to express it in his favor and to achieve his rights, and we have no other goals."
