IDF soldiers and their parents warn for several weeks that the isolation method used by the army against the corona virus does not work and even endangers the public. As part of the method, the IDF sends soldiers who need isolation back to their families without first examining them for the virus, waiting for symptoms or Until ten days pass.

Parents of soldiers in combat units say they have alerted commanders to the situation, but these have responded that they are fulfilling orders.

Yesterday it was reported that 1,887 are serving in compulsory, permanent service and IDF employees are diagnosed with mild corona. 10,273 soldiers are in domestic isolation, with numbers hovering around this amount for more than a week. There are also ten hotels for the treatment of soldiers, five for isolation and five for treatment. "There are 1,542 patients and 1,341 isolators in the hotels. The

issue of the soldiers' home isolation worries quite a few families." There is an illusion here - most of the young guys who are infected are asymptomatic, but once they carry the virus they infect others, "says a parent to the fighter. "The army is sending them home and it is endangering the families and the entire public.

It has to be dealt with within the base and unit.

I would do a lot more tests for soldiers who develop symptoms and do not take risks. "

The severity of the situation can be learned from a case that occurred last week at the training base of the Nahal Brigade.

One of the commanders reported symptoms to Corona, but for some unknown reason he was not approved for a test.

He was transferred to home isolation and exited at the end of the time without examination, after reporting a fever and disappearance of symptoms.

Also, for no apparent reason, one of the wards in the company that was exposed to the verified patient left by military transport to the central bus station in Be'er Sheva, and from there traveled back to their homes by public transport.

On Saturday night, some of the soldiers began reporting to their commanders that they were experiencing symptoms, including fever and muscle aches.

Soldiers who experienced symptoms were allowed to remain in their homes for further isolation, but soldiers who did not show symptoms were returned to base.

About half of the soldiers left in their homes were inspected and found to be verified blue to Corona.

Among the soldiers who returned to the base and went out to operate in the field, there were those who began to report symptoms.

Under pressure from the soldiers' parents, they were transferred from the area to tests at the base.

The parents, who are linked through WhatsApp groups, corresponded and understood that it is very possible that each of the families who came in contact with the soldiers was exposed to the virus.

Some of the families voluntarily relocated to isolation and went to be examined at Corona.

To date, even before all the soldiers and their families have been examined, it has become clear that in the ward in question there are about twenty soldiers who have been found to be corona sick, while in at least five of the families, infected family members have been found.

The parents estimate that there are also civilians who became infected during the soldiers' journey on public transportation.

Another military source said that "it is not possible to determine who is the cause of the infection. From the moment the patients were diagnosed, strict measures were taken to prevent the spread of the virus."

The IDF spokesman responded: "As with any incident in the IDF, the case will be investigated and handled."
