The musician was arrested in September in the streets of Paris. He is appearing for drug use, contempt and rebellion.

The trial of the rapper of the PNL group, Ademo, who was to be tried Wednesday before the Paris Criminal Court in particular for contempt after his eventful arrest by the police in September, has been postponed to April 14 for additional information.

The 34-year-old musician, whose real name is Tarik Andrieu, did not appear at the hearing on Wednesday morning.

He was arrested in September then in a street of the 14th arrondissement in Paris, in front of his partner and his child.

Images of the arrest had circulated on social networks.

Three of the four police officers who had participated in it - and who had not recognized the rapper, assures their lawyer Thibault de Montbrial - were present in the courtroom on Wednesday, as well as a dozen colleagues who came in support.

Anonymize the police

According to the account of one of the agents present, a patrol saw Ademo in the process of

"preparing a homemade cigarette"

giving off a

"strong smell characteristic of cannabis"

and wanted to check his identity.

Ademo would then immediately have been

"verbally aggressive"

and refused to submit to the control, according to the version of the police.

His arrest was filmed by passers-by.

The rapper had, finally, spent twenty-four hours in police custody, then been summoned to court for use of drugs, contempt and rebellion.

At the hearing, his lawyers Vincent Brengarth and William Bourdon asked for a closed session to guarantee

“complete serenity”

of the debates in view of the

“public personality”

of their client.

What was refused.

The judge, however, ordered additional information for a procedural issue, related to the "anonymization" of the identity of the police in the file.

The PNL group, made up of Ademo and his brother NOS, has enjoyed phenomenal success in France since 2015. The group was notably launched by the song

Le monde ou rien

, the clip of which was shot in Scampia, a popular district of the suburbs of Naples.

Extremely discreet, the two rappers practice minimal communication and do not express themselves in the media.
