The Italian Giancarlo Pedote has finished in his turn in this hallucinating Vendée Globe where the arrivals follow one another since Wednesday evening.
The skipper of the boat Prysmian Group crossed the line in 7th position after 80 days 22 hours 42 minutes and 20 seconds of racing during which he demonstrated all his tenacity.
However, he should lose one place in the standings, Jean Le Cam, the next to arrive in the early evening pushing him back one place, barring any possible disaster (as we saw with Boris Herrmann).
The dean of the race has a time compensation of 4:15 p.m. which could push him up to 4th or 5th place.
