Zhang Zhujun, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Center for Health Protection, responded that the Department of Health was aware that a patient had a family member who passed away before the diagnosis, and the diagnosis was confirmed after an autopsy was decided due to the time approaching.

In addition, the Hospital Authority announced the death of two more patients.

A total of 177 people died in Hong Kong.

There are 39 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong today. Zhang Zhujun said that the number of confirmed cases has not risen temporarily and appears to be stable, but about 40 cases have been confirmed initially, and the trend is not obvious downward.

Regarding the deceased with case number 10118, Zhang Zhujun said that after finding a confirmed case, the Department of Health learned that his family had passed away on the 15th of this month. Although the deceased had a long-term illness, he decided to hand it over to the Fushan Public Mortuary due to the approaching time. Autopsy samples were taken and the diagnosis was confirmed later.

Checking the information, the deceased was a 58-year-old woman with no symptoms and was diagnosed on the 25th of this month.

There were 39 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong today and more than 40 preliminary positive cases.

A total of 177 deaths

In addition, the Hospital Authority announced today that two more confirmed patients have passed away in a public hospital. A 47-year-old male patient with a chronic illness (case number 8452) went to the emergency department of Kwong Wah Hospital due to breathing difficulties on December 23 last year. Seek a doctor and be admitted to an isolation ward for treatment, after which he was diagnosed.

After the patient was treated, the virus antibody was positive.

The patient's condition continued to deteriorate afterwards, and he left at 8:32 in the morning.

The deceased lived in Liman Building, Yau Tsim Mong, and was diagnosed on December 25 last year. It is a case of unknown origin.

The other deceased was a 66-year-old male patient (case number 7259) in the United Christian Hospital who had a long-term illness. He was transferred from the quarantine center to the United Christian Hospital for treatment on December 10 last year. The situation continued to deteriorate and was postponed to noon today. Separated at 12:16.

The deceased was an imported case. He had stayed at the Yau Tsim Mong Delta Hotel and had no symptoms.

A total of 172 patients died in public hospitals, and 177 people have died in Hong Kong so far.
