- This exhibition brings color into the pandemic gray: Those willing to vaccinate require a lot of patience because of the slow vaccine deliveries.

But anyone who has received an appointment at the Freising Vaccination Center can now look forward to some cultural enjoyment.

The members of the “Freisinger Mohr” art association Heidrun Hee, Markéta Lübben, Dietlinde Swienty and Gabriele Winter-Bermel exhibit their works in the newly renovated rooms of the former staff building - from registration to the doctor's office.

They form the artists' association “Die Feder”, which is committed to “PositiveArt” and, in its work, to lightness, liveliness and beauty.

Support artists who cannot exhibit due to Corona

FDP district councilor Tobias Weiskopf and Freising's cultural advisor Susanne Günther (Greens) had campaigned for the vaccination center to be used as an exhibition space.

An idea that the District Office was happy to implement in a timely manner, as it can support the district's cultural workers in this way who, due to the pandemic, are unable to show their works.

The painting exhibition, led by artist Markéta Lübben, was implemented within a few days and outside of normal business hours.

The top priority was that the process in the vaccination center was not disrupted.

In times when many artists create melancholy works influenced by the social mood, this hopeful, bright to cheerful collection catches the eye all the more.

The pandemic will soon last for a year, so it is all the more important to "keep joy of life, vitality and the spark of hope burning".

This is how Lübben sums up the concept.

In order to protect against infection, the current exhibition is only accessible to citizens who have been given an appointment at the vaccination center and can be seen up to and including Easter Monday, April 5th.

Further exhibitions by artists from the region in the rooms of the vaccination center are conceivable.

Interested artists' associations can contact the press office of the district office in this regard.

Those who come to the vaccination center should feel positive emotions

What it means to them to exhibit at the vaccination center during these times is what the artists from “Die Feder” emphatically formulated: “Art can make souls smile”, is Heidrun Hee's motto: “With my positive, colorful and imaginative art, I want help that people who come to the vaccination center distract themselves a little while looking at the pictures and, above all, feel positive emotions.

Maybe my art can even conjure up a smile in one or the other. "

Markéta Lübben says: “The new vaccination center in Freising is a place of hope.

Hope to get together with family, friends and work colleagues, for fear-free hugs, for newly discovered freedom to travel, for more life.

She wants to bring joy of life, vitality and a good mood to the vaccination center “and thus keep the spark of hope burning.

Something that most need now more urgently than ever. "

"If people cannot come to art, then art has to come to people," explains Dietlinde Swienty pragmatically.

This year the vaccination center is a target for many people.

"It will be a place of hope, of hope that the pandemic can be defeated," says the artist.

"With my pictures I want to convey joy of life and confidence, because color brings light into our life."

Gabriele Winter-Bermel explains: “My pictures are mostly created from impressions while traveling, capture landscapes, encounters and impressions.

When I paint, I put myself back in this positive mood and in these beautiful places.

I hope the viewer can go on a fantasy journey through my pictures and gain hope! ”
