Sébastien Meurant (LR) considers himself a victim of discrimination after the suppression of a message against "conquering Islamism".

The senator (LR) of Val-d'Oise filed a complaint on Thursday against Twitter.

The elected representative, assisted by Me Philippe Fontana, considers himself a victim of discrimination because of his political opinions (article 225-1 of the penal code).

After the last Miss France election, a candidate had been the victim of a hateful surge on social networks.

On December 22, 2020, while driving in his constituency, Sébastien Meurant takes a picture of a fully veiled woman.

He posted it on his Twitter account with the following text:

“The day after anti-Semitic insults against #AprilBenayoum in a small quiet town in the Val-d'Oise, conquering Islamism goes for a walk (sic) violating our laws with impunity… Unbearable! "
