Washington-SANA

Today, US President Joe Biden signed a resolution canceling the amendments made by former President Donald Trump to health insurance and the Women's Health Initiative.

The media quoted Biden as saying, before signing today, that he signed two decrees to undo the damage caused by Trump.

Biden added: We are only reinstating the law on affordable healthcare and Medicare before Trump becomes president and makes changes, making programs unavailable and more difficult to participate in.

The abolition of preferential health insurance and health care for the elderly adopted under President Barack Obama was one of the central positions in Trump's campaign rhetoric.

Trump was unable to repeal the law through Congress, but through decrees he introduced changes to this legislation.
