The clerk today (28th) pleaded guilty to 13 crimes of violating public morals in the Eastern District Court and committing a crime for seeking stimulus.
The magistrate sentenced that when the clerk committed the crime for the first time, the eldest daughter was only 10 months old, and his wife was pregnant with a younger daughter after he was arrested. He knew the consequences when he committed the crime and the family burden was not a reason for pleading.
The defendant, Lin Jinye (38 years old), claimed to be a civil servant.
He admitted that from December 5, 2018 to November 21, 2019, at Wan Chai Arsenal Street footbridge, Wan Chai tram station and other places, sneak shots of women X, Y, Z and the skirts of unknown women.

When the defense pleaded, it was revealed that the defendant was married and had two daughters, currently 3 years old and 2 months old.
In the defense, the defendant committed a crime because of life pressure and wanted to seek excitement. He did not use the film for obscene purposes. His crime was in line with his nature.
The defense continued that the defendant lost his job after the incident and suffered from depression, and he hopes that the magistrate can give him a suspended sentence.
However, when sentencing, the magistrate stated that the act of secretly photographing the bottom of the skirt was an insult to women, and that when the defendant first committed the crime, the eldest daughter was only 10 months old, and his wife was pregnant with a young daughter after the defendant was arrested. He knew the consequences when he committed the crime. He was imprisoned for 82 days for the burden of non-pleading reasons.

Fifteen of the clips captured the skirts of the defendant’s female colleagues X, Y and Z, which were filmed in shopping malls and MTR.
It is reported that there is a video on the mobile phone that was secretly filmed in the police chief, but because there is no law to regulate secret filming in private places, the Department of Justice can only prosecute the defendant for secret filming in public places.
