The Speaker of the Knesset, MK Yariv Levin, presented today (Thursday) the Likud's compromise for passing the fines law in the Knesset plenum.

Levin's announcement comes after a blue-and-white request to convene the plenum today and pass the law on second and third readings.

According to Levin's proposal, the government will extend the closure by only one day until Monday, the Knesset will approve the fines law in the original version on Monday and then the government will convene again to extend the closure for a few more days.

Levin explained the rejection and attacked Blue and White.

"We are on vacation, plenary sessions during this period are done with the advance notice of several days, not expected from the MKs that during this period will be available at all times.

"Yesterday I announced in advance that if the Constitution Committee approves the law last night - the plenum will convene that evening to approve the law," he said. . "

According to Levin, and because the vote was not approved yesterday in the Constitution," the only way to convene the plenary is only with the consent of the representatives of all factions so there are allegations that some of them could not come to a vote. "this is, in part," As a joint list announced "She opposes convening the plenum today. The only way it will be possible to hold this thing properly is to hold a plenary session next Monday at 11:00 a.m. and it will be possible to end the law quickly."
