In the midst of the controversy and the requests for intervention in Formosa due to the conditions in which people with coronavirus are housed in the isolation centers arranged by the Government of Gildo Insfrán, the Secretary of Human Rights, Horacio Pietragalla, said that

"no Human Rights are systematically violated "and that raising it" is a joke. "

"There are no clandestine detention centers in Formosa, it is almost a joke. Human rights are not systematically violated in Formosa, there are no crimes against humanity in Formosa, I want to make that clear," said Pietragalla at a press conference.

The official said it after having visited the isolation centers and having met with opposition leaders.

"We were touring, we are not giving opinions about what someone told us, we

were with the people. I know that there were complex situations

, but no one complained about the food and the treatment of the people of the place. There were specific situations where it was not explained in detail the processes of swabbing and vaccination and we transmit it, "he insisted.

During the press conference, a journalist questioned him for his assertion that human rights were not violated in those places and Pietragalla emphasized that "human rights were not systematically violated."

The official also said that President Alberto Fernández and Vice Cristina Kirchner asked him to be "as comprehensive as possible" and said that they would present "a conclusion based on the report" they made.

He stressed that this secretariat works "in provinces that are pro-government and opposition parties and in any place that the national State has asked for help."

Pietragalla also pointed out against the opposition and questioned the supposed "trivialization of Human Rights": "There is no political speculation in the defense of Human Rights," he remarked to downplay the fact that he belongs to the same political space as the questioned Formosan governor .
