The Wasserschloss Taufkirchen is “well equipped” as soon as the culture can really get going again.

A new multi-purpose room was set up in the east wing.

Taufkirchen

- "We are incredibly grateful to the community for these rooms," said Martina Wimmer, chairwoman of the Liedertafel, happily presenting the multi-purpose room on the second floor of the east wing in the Taufkirchen moated castle.

Mayor Stefan Haberl had invited to the press conference.

He thinks the room is "very beautiful and successful".

Rehearsal room for the choral society

As soon as the pandemic allows, the choral society can hold its choir rehearsals here.

So far these have taken place in middle school.

However, the building was demolished as part of the replacement building.

So the Liedertafel looked for alternatives in consultation with the community.

In terms of size, the multipurpose room is optimal, Wimmer thought.

The acoustics are “not great”, so a carpet was used.

As soon as it is possible to sing together again, the song board can sing into the new premises.

A good place has also been found for the piano in the bay window of the room.

And in the small adjoining room there are cupboards for the sheet music.

The multi-purpose room was only made possible with funds from the Wasserschloss Foundation, said Haberl.

He thanked the chairman of the association and the board of trustees, Ulrich Wolter.

He briefly explained how the foundation was founded on the initiative of the Sparkasse and the municipality.

Donations from private individuals and companies raised 30,000 euros, the Förderverein added 20,000 euros, and the Sparkasse doubled the amount again.

The following was paid for by the sponsoring association: 3500 euros each for the multi-purpose room and the media technology (screen, microphone and projector) in the ballroom, 500 euros for the crib exhibition and 2500 euros for the SOVIEs cultural program.

Refurbished at a comparatively low cost for 26,000 euros

Since art and culture was the first thing that was shut down in the pandemic, it is now all the more important not to fall into lethargy, but to prepare for future times, emphasized Wolter.

Because “I hope it will start again soon.

We are well prepared. "

With a lot of personal contribution by the building yard and with local companies, it was possible to renovate the multi-purpose room for 26,000 euros comparatively very cheaply, said Georg Schmittner, Chairman of the Wasserschloss municipal company.

"It has become a wonderful, bright room." This can also be used for markets and exhibitions.
