Eichenau - The municipality does not want to go swimming with the security at the lake.
That is why she had a security concept drawn up by an external specialist office.
Eichenau - There was no decision at the latest meeting of the municipal council.
Because the members insisted on including the water rescue service.
The Emmeringen-based company Wensauer SDW had not deleted at least one hot topic of discussion from the summer of 2019 in its concept.
In the draft resolution it was expressly stated: “
The bathing island can remain in the lake.
"
For CSU councilor Peter Zeiler, the concept went too far: “You can't secure everything 100 percent.” He criticized the proposal to secure the bathing jetty with a railing.
You can also jump in from there.
This proposal will not meet with much approval from the water watch.
Zeiler spoke out in favor of asking the local rescuers for advice.
This was also supported in the general group: "We already need an official statement from the water watch," said SPD parliamentary group leader Martin Eberl.
For the Greens spokesman Markus Hausberger it was also clear: "We should first get input from the water rescue service."
Four hours a day on weekends
One thing is certain: the water rescue service can guarantee adequate security with its volunteer employees.
A time of at least four hours a day on the weekend would have to be worked, which is based on the supervision obligation of lifeguards in the public service.
During the week, the Emmeringen company suggested that a security company provide the supervisory staff.
Mayor Peter Münster (FDP) pointed out that this would rather weaken the motivation of the water watch.
With the revision of the signage concept as well as the cordoning off of individual areas (e.g. at breeding sites) one could in principle become friends.
But Ulrich Bode (FDP) warned against overregulation: "Not that we will have to put up signs one day, please don't forget to breathe."
