The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court today (Thursday) extended for five days the detention of the clinical psychologist suspected of committing sexual offenses on his patient.
The judge ruled that at this stage there is an evidentiary basis establishing a reasonable suspicion against him.
This is a very well-known psychologist in the capital, but at this point, his name is still banned from publication.
The investigation against him was opened following the complaint of a 21-year-old woman who was treated by him for several years, following an incident of violence she experienced.
The complainant recounted two incidents that took place last month in which the suspect committed sexual offenses on her.
On the other hand, the psychologist claimed that the acts were with her full consent as part of an affair between them.
The lawyer for the psychologist, the lawyer Yehuda Shoshan, said in response: "This is a one-off event of two adults with full awareness and common will. Every presentation of things in a different way is a distortion of reality."
