Today, the US Department of Defense announced a review of a number of decisions taken by former President Donald Trump, most notably the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and the closure of US military bases in Germany.
Sky News reported that the US Congress discussed a compromise defense policy law aimed at preventing the withdrawal of the US military from Afghanistan after Trump's executive order to reduce forces there to only 2,500 soldiers by the middle of this month.
The US Defense Department announced earlier this month to reduce the number of its forces in Afghanistan and Iraq to 2,500 soldiers in each country.
