The Rehabilitation Sports Association (RSG) Wolfratshausen mourns the loss of its loyal member Hannelore Kaffenberger.
The woman from Wolfratshausen died unexpectedly at the age of 79.
Wolfratshausen
- Together with her husband Heinz, who died two years ago and the former chairman of the Rehab-Sport-Freunde, Hannelore Kaffenberger organized the club outings with great attention to detail.
The Kaffenbergers traveled to the destinations in advance at their own expense, looked at accommodations and inns and explored the hiking trails nearby.
Even later, when the members got older and therefore only day trips were made, the couple planned everything to the full satisfaction of the participants.
“These excursions were among the highlights of our club life,” says chairwoman Stefanie Kühn.
Hannelore Kaffenberger was born as Jorde in 1941 in Freudenthal in the Sudetenland.
Her father founded the Ford dealership in Geretsried.
His sporty daughter played handball and danced in the guard of the carnival society Narreninsel.
There she met her future husband Heinz, an authorized signatory.
The two married and built a house on the outskirts in 1982.
The daughters Elke and Karin completed the family happiness.
The daughters continue the commitment
Because of problems with his heart, Heinz Kaffenberger joined the rehab sports community in the 1990s.
His wife was prescribed spinal exercises from 1994.
Both participated actively and happily in the courses.
They soon agreed to become involved in the association's board of directors.
"The RSG was part of my parents' life," says Elke Sailer.
The close ties between the Kaffenbergers and the rehab athletes are evident in the fact that both daughters still support them today: Elke helps with the billing with the health insurance companies, Karin is the trainer and cashier.
