There is currently no departure date and in order to put in order all the new and old restrictions, we have answered the most frequently asked questions.

In what situations is it allowed to fly, is it allowed to get out of isolation to get vaccinated and is shepherding an essential profession?

What are the guidelines for outbound flights?

Exit is prohibited, except in the following cases:

• Medical Care

• Funeral of a relative

• Legal proceedings

You can leave the house for the airport up to 8 hours before the flight.

What are the guidelines for inbound flights?

Foreigners will not be allowed to enter Israel except for the purpose of attending funerals and no flights of foreign airlines will be allowed to land in Israeli territory except in the following cases: 

• Cargo flights

• Flight for medical emergency evacuation

• Firefighting flight

• Flight that took off before the start of installations

With the exception of these cases, only passenger flights of local operators may land at Israeli airports.

What are the guidelines for returning from abroad?

A person seeking to board a flight to Israel will be required to present a negative result on a corona examination he performed during the 72 hours prior to the departure date, or a vaccination certificate, or a recovery certificate.

From Thursday, 28.1.2021, those arriving in Israel from Portugal are obliged to stay in an isolation lodge.

In addition, the obligation to stay in an isolation hotel for visitors from the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, South Africa and Zambia has been extended.

Currently, this decision is valid until midnight between Wednesday, 10.2.2021, and Thursday, 11.2.2021.

The duration of isolation is 14 days but can be shortened subject to a negative result in two corona tests.

Is it possible to fly abroad for the purpose of moving, or for the purpose of returning to school?

No.

It is forbidden to fly for the purpose of moving to a permanent place of residence.

Can a foreign resident who has already received an entry permit fly to Israel?

No, at the moment flights Flights are frozen until Monday 1.2.2021 except for funerals or life-saving medical tourism.

What are the new guidelines for gathering? 

The crowd limit is up to 5 people in the building or up to 10 people in the open.

In a public or business place that is allowed to open to the public, the number of people shall not exceed one person per 7 square meters of the area or 5 people in a building and 10 in an open area, depending on the stick between them. Where are the corona testing complexes for the general public without the need for a referral?

The Home Front Command, in cooperation with the local authorities, operates testing complexes for the general public throughout the country without the need for a referral and appointment, and free of charge, but must be provided with an ID card. Please note: the location of the complexes and deadlines can change, so it is recommended to be updated daily.

It is also possible to be tested in test complexes operated by the HMOs, for which you must contact the HMO.

For people with disabilities, pregnant women and senior citizens, priority will be given to the queue as much as possible and in accordance with the conditions of the compound.

When and how do you get the corona test result?

The test result is usually received within 48 hours via SMS.

Can contact the HMO or the nearest health bureau.

The Home Front Command has no information about the status of the test, where it is or what its results are.

Is it possible to get out of isolation to perform a corona test?

Insulation can be removed for corona testing.

People in isolation or with symptoms may be examined in the compound upon arrival by car only and if a home examination cannot be arranged with the HMO.

Of course keep distance and masks at all times and do so in the shortest possible time.

Is it possible to get out of isolation to get vaccinated?

No, it is forbidden to go out of isolation to get vaccinated even if the date of the second vaccination applies during the isolation.

If the second vaccination date occurs during the isolation period, the HMO should be consulted on the matter.

Is shepherding considered an essential profession? 

Agricultural professions are considered essential professions and therefore sheep are allowed to graze.
