There was a major fire brigade operation in Schliersee late on Friday afternoon.
According to police, the facade of an apartment building had caught fire.

- According to initial findings, the fire started from a garbage bag that was parked on the balcony of the apartment building on Breitenbachstrasse and contained ash with remains of embers from a tiled stove.
The fire brigades Schliersee, Neuhaus and Miesbach were able to quickly bring the fire, which broke out shortly after 5 p.m., under control with a total of 40 emergency services and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the building.
Nevertheless, most of the wooden facade burned down, the damage amounts to around 30,000 euros.
The person who caused it, a 72-year-old Schliersee, had to be given brief medical care, seven BRK rescue workers and an emergency doctor were on site as a precaution.
Fortunately, the other residents were not injured due to the immediate evacuation.
The man is now being investigated on suspicion of negligent arson.
