It's been a little over three weeks since violent insurgents stormed the US Capitol in an attempt to prevent American President Joe Biden from being recognized.
The Democratic MP Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now making serious accusations against Republican and Trump supporter Ted Cruz.
After Cruz agreed to her dispute over GameStop stock, Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter that she was ready to work with Republicans on the matter.
However, three weeks ago, Cruz made sure that she was almost killed.
So he could "sit out" this round.
"I'm willing to work with almost any other Republican who won't try to get me killed," she wrote.
If Cruz wanted to help, he should resign.
Hours earlier, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi had said in a press conference that "the enemy" was in the House itself. "We have Congressmen who want to bring guns and who have threatened other MPs with violence," she said.
One of the MPs who has called for violence against other MPs in the past is Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is affiliated with the QAnon movement.
Congress is currently preparing the second impeachment lawsuit against former President Donald Trump.
The Democrats accuse him of inciting the insurgents with a speech on January 6th.
Five people, including a police officer, died in the riot.
