Moorenweis - In cooperation with Stadtwerke Fürstenfeldbruck, the municipality of Moorenweis has installed the first electric charging station in the village.
Mayor Joseph Schäffler, Stadtwerke Managing Director Jan Hoppenstedt and Stadtwerke Sales Manager Andreas Wohlmann put them into operation.
The column on Ammerseestrasse, opposite the town hall, cost almost 17,000 euros.
The municipality receives around half of the amount back through state subsidies.
The station is equipped with a type 2 plug. Depending on the vehicle type, it can be charged with up to 22 kilowatts.
Green electricity is used.
“In our rural region, mobility is determined by individual transport - mostly still with combustion engines.
But we want to promote the change to electromobility, ”said Schäffler during commissioning.
They want to create an incentive to switch to electric vehicles.
This requires a dense network of charging stations, added Hoppenstedt.
The Stadtwerke wanted to take away the fear of electric car drivers "to stop on the way with an empty battery".
When charging at the pillars of Stadtwerke Fürstenfeldbruck, 32 cents per kilowatt hour are charged.
The necessary charging cards can be requested from the municipal utility.
Ten charging stations are currently available from the local electricity supplier.
Seven in the city of Fürstenfeldbruck, one each in Mammendorf, Moorenweis and Inning (Starnberg district).
Another two three pillars will go into operation this spring in the city of Fürstenfeldbruck, as well as another in the neighboring district of Starnberg, namely in the municipality of Wörthsee.
