These two men had already been indicted by justice in March 2019, suspected of having participated in the kidnapping and violence against the manager of an Ajaccian bar in December 2018, but their indictments were then canceled for a technical defect, a file in which they were still under a warrant.

In the investigation into the assassination of Alexandre Giacopelli committed on June 18, 2020 at midday on the terrace of a snack bar in downtown Ajaccio, two people had already been indicted: Jennifer Andarelli, for complicity in intentional homicide with premeditation and in an organized gang.

She was placed under judicial supervision.

She was an employee of a bakery near the Aktuel brewery, on the outskirts of Ajaccio, where a helmeted shooter had shot and killed a man and wounded a second on June 7, 11 days before Alexander's assassination. Giacopelli, 28 years old.

Last December, Yohan de la Foata, 35, was indicted for intentional homicide in an organized gang, criminal conspiracy and possession of weapons.

He disputes the facts with which he is accused, then told AFP his lawyer, Me Jean Comiti.

Mr. de la Foata, who is part of a family of which several members were killed, was, between March and September 2020, the president of the company which managed the Aktuel brewery under lease-management, according to the site of referencing of Infolegale companies.

Investigators and magistrates had questioned a possible link between the two homicides, that of the Aktuel brewery, on June 7, and that of June 18 on a terrace in the center of Ajaccio.
