Erding
- At the beginning of the year, unemployment in the Erding district rose - as everywhere in the region.
At the Employment Agency, 2543 people were registered as unemployed in January, 420 women and men more than in December 2020. As a result, the unemployment rate rose by 0.5 percentage points to the current 3.0 percent.
That is a significant plus compared to the previous year's value of 2.1 percent.
"The corona pandemic continues to have a significant impact on the regional job market," explains agency boss Nikolaus Windisch.
In the past few weeks, the unemployment figures made another significant leap up.
“However, this is very typical for this time of year,” says Windisch.
In the entire district, which also includes the districts of Freising, Ebersberg and Dachau, the rate is 3.1 percent.
On the other hand, employers recently reported 130 vacancies, 17 more than in the previous month.
In January there were a total of 674 offers in the job pool of the employment agency.
In the Erding district, at the beginning of the pandemic last March, 450 companies actually had short-time working.
4907 men and women were affected.
The number reached a temporary high in April with 11,872 employees in 876 companies.
For comparison: In August there were 7,695 people in 458 companies.
According to the employment agency, these are the latest figures.
