Iraqi Interior Minister Othman Al-Ghanimi discussed with the Syrian ambassador to Iraq, Satam Jadaan Al-Dandah, today, means of strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of combating terrorism.
In a statement of the Iraqi Interior Ministry, a copy of which was received by the SANA correspondent in Baghdad, the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Syria and aspects related to the security issue and the exchange of information and experiences, noting that Ambassador Al-Dandah noted the positive results achieved by security cooperation and information exchange between the two countries during the previous years.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Dandah said in a statement to the correspondent that the meeting discussed strengthening security measures and fortifying the common borders between the two countries in addition to facilitating residency procedures for Syrian citizens in Iraq, stressing that continued cooperation in the field of combating terrorism between Syria and Iraq will lead to decisive results in the final eradication of terrorism from the two brotherly countries. .
Ambassador Al-Dandah added that this cooperation had achieved tangible results in inflicting great defeats on the terrorist organizations that had wreaked havoc in the two countries and practiced various crimes of murder, displacement and looting.
