The Russian Cultural Center in Damascus today held a ceremony to honor the Syrians who won the International Digital Olympiad for the Russian language, which was held at the beginning of this year, in which Syria achieved advanced positions.
Nikolai Sukhov, Director of the Cultural Center, and Vladislav Sapronov, Second Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, honored the advanced centers in the Olympiad, in addition to the winners of the drawing competition for the Belarusian folk story.
This honor, according to Sukhov, is anchoring the center’s approach to preserving its traditions by honoring the creative and outstanding Syrians who contribute to the advancement of cultural relations between the two countries.
The World Digital Olympiad for the Russian language was held with the participation of 147 countries, and the number of participants reached 9540, during which Syria ranked first and third in this Olympiad.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Russian language teachers at Damascus University and Syrian universities, in addition to the honored families.
