While there is still hot debate in Germany as to whether people vaccinated against corona may travel without restrictions, other European countries have already taken action.

So far, corona-vaccinated people in Germany have not been exempted from the quarantine measures that apply to travelers returning from risk areas.

There is still too little information on whether people who have been vaccinated can actually no longer transmit the virus.

In addition, some politicians are reluctant to create a two-class society.

In other

European countries and outside of

it, however, the situation is very different - easing is planned or already in force here.

Iceland vacation for corona vaccinated persons again possible without quarantine

Iceland has

hugely relaxed

its

entry rules

for people who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Corona vaccinated people are now allowed to enter again without quarantine and do not even have to submit a negative corona test, as the Icelandic Ministry of Health informs.

Entrants must be

able to provide proof of their full corona vaccination, i.e. both vaccination doses

.

This proof must contain first name and surname (as in the travel documents), date of birth, nationality, passport or identity card number and the date of the vaccinations.

In addition, Covid-19 must be named as a disease that was vaccinated against.

The certificate must be in Icelandic, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English or French.

Iceland currently only accepts vaccinations from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna.

In addition to corona vaccinated people, Iceland also allows entry of people who can prove that they have already had a corona infection.

These travelers do not have to go into quarantine or submit a corona test.

Romania lifts the quarantine requirement for corona vaccinated people

According to information from the Federal Foreign Office, Romania has also lifted the quarantine for people vaccinated against corona.

Those affected must have received

both vaccine doses at least ten days prior to entry

and have proof of this to hand.

There is also an exception to the quarantine obligation for people who have proof of having tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 90 days.

The illness must be proven by medical documents or the Corona database.

The positive test result must also be at least 14 days old in order to be allowed to enter.

Germany is in the “yellow zone” for Romania.

This means that travelers usually have to go into quarantine for 14 days.

Please also note that Germany has issued a travel warning for Romania.

Vacation 2021: Republic of Moldova lifts quarantine for corona vaccinated people

The

Republic of Moldova

has

lifted

its

entry ban on people who can prove they have been vaccinated against the coronavirus

.

The National Agency for Public Health maintains a list of countries that are affected by high infection rates and whose citizens - but also transit travelers - are not allowed to enter the republic.

Germany is currently not on this list.

Nevertheless, there are also exceptions for travelers from these areas - for example, if they are Moldovan citizens.

While they have to

go

into a

14-day quarantine

after entry

, this obligation does not apply to corona-vaccinated people.

The Republic of Moldova was one of the first European countries to lift travel restrictions for immunized people.

Nevertheless, a travel warning from the Federal Foreign Office still applies - you do not have to be in quarantine when entering the country, but certainly when you return.

Seychelles allow vacation without quarantine - for people with corona vaccination

Anyone who is fully vaccinated against the coronavirus - i.e. has received both vaccine doses - is allowed to enter the Seychelles again without the obligation to quarantine.

However, the second vaccination must be at least 14 days ago

.

In addition, holidaymakers must present a negative corona test, which must not be older than 72 hours, as well as a travel health authorization, which must be applied for before departure.

In general, however, entry is permitted for tourists from the "Permitted Countries", which also include Germany.

If you come from one of these countries, you can also enter the country without a corona vaccination.

To do this, those affected also have to go into a ten-day quarantine, where a corona test is carried out on the sixth day.

In addition, a negative corona test must also be presented upon entry, which must not be older than 48 hours.

Seychelles has also recently been back on the RKI's list of risk areas.

Poland also allows people vaccinated with corona to enter easily

In

Poland, there

is now an exception for travelers who can provide evidence of the corona vaccination.

All other travelers must continue to be in a ten-day quarantine until January 31st.

From a German perspective, Poland is also a corona risk area.
