Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon
Tragedy in the south:
A one-year-old and two-month-old baby was evacuated today (Sunday) in a critical condition, and during resuscitation operations, to Barzilai Hospital in the city.
The baby, who was at his grandmother's, apparently suffocated because of something he had eaten.
The hospital said doctors were fighting for his life.
Michael Rashid, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, said: "This is a one-year-old and two-month-old baby who, according to the grandmother, did not wake up. We performed prolonged resuscitation on him and then he was taken to the hospital in a critical condition while continuing resuscitation."
