The departure of Nissenkorn 5 days before the closing of the lists for the Knesset, indicates the depth of the crisis in the camp that hoped to take advantage of the election • It was preceded by Ashkenazi, Haimovich, Zamir and Peretz

It seems that no one expected and did not expect the disintegration of the left camp and the wave of departures and resignations from political life, he walked before closing the lists for the next Knesset.

Things are gaining momentum, especially after the center-left bloc has been eagerly awaiting the dissolution of the current unity government, and now it seems they will do nothing about it.

Huldai: "Until the lists are closed, we must take care of the formation of the center-left" // From Ron Huldai's YouTube channel

MK Nissenkorn's resignation from political life yesterday joins a battery of departures from the plenum of four ministers and MKs - from a white brush and from Labor - who announced it last month.

In all, the Knesset members' blue and white party has so far been abandoned by ten MKs, some of whom have moved to other parties and others have left political life.

Suffice it to mention that Gantz's deputy leader, Gabi Ashkenazi, the current foreign minister, will not run for the 24th Knesset.

Foreign Minister Ashkenazi, who came to politics to establish a governmental alternative, recently decided to take a "time-out" from political life, but end his term as foreign minister.

Ashkenazi, who was in charge of the United Blue and White Union, decided that was enough for him and in the current election campaign he prefers to watch from the sidelines.

Two others are former Tourism Minister Assaf Zamir and MK Miki Haimovich, who finished very badly in blue and white after refusing to vote in coalition discipline. It was estimated that Zamir was expected to run for mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, as he did last time.

If Ron Huldai decides not to vacate his position as mayor, Zamir is likely to find another alternative.

Stable cleaning

In the Labor Party, the cleaning of MK Merav Michaeli's stables came to fruition very quickly, with the departure of Minister Amir Peretz, who refused to resign from the government. In the future, perhaps, he may emerge from the back door as a candidate for the presidency.

Peretz complied with Minister Ganz's request and will continue to serve as Minister of Economy and Industry.

MK Michaeli, it will be recalled, called on him and Minister Itzik Shmuli, when she was elected party chairwoman, to leave the "corrupt Netanyahu-Gantz government," she said.
