As part of the agreement between the two countries, Kosovo will open an embassy in Jerusalem, as it also promised to the Trump administration.
Kosovo's Foreign Ministry has already located a building for the embassy and it will open in a few weeks.
Due to Corona's limitations, a ceremony will be held tomorrow to unveil the sign of the new embassy, which will also be moved to Zoom.
The establishment of relations between Israel and Kosovo is a result of the economic normalization agreement promoted by the Trump administration between Serbia and Kosovo.
Foreign Ministry officials have stated that the Biden administration supports the establishment of relations between Israel and Kosovo and that the acting US Ambassador to Israel and the United States Ambassador to Pristina will attend the virtual ceremony tomorrow.

20 years after its closure: Israel has reopened its diplomatic mission in Morocco

Last September, former US President Donald Trump announced that Israel would recognize the state of Kosovo, and establish diplomatic relations with it.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu then spoke with Trump and Kosovo Prime Minister Abdullah Hoti, while it met with Trump.
"As I said in recent days - the circle of peace and recognition of Israel is expanding and more countries are expected to join it," Netanyahu said at the time.
Kosovo has been recognized as a state by nearly a hundred countries since declaring independence from Serbia in 2008 following a bloody war between them a decade earlier, decided following NATO intervention alongside rebels under Yugoslav dictator Slobodan Milosevic. However, it is still not considered a state in any way Officially due to the refusal of Russia, an ally of Serbia and a veto on the UN Security Council, to recognize it.
