For the first time ever, there was a wide-ranging international cyber competition, with the participation of 14 countries and 57 teams, online, in which five Israeli teams from the Cyber Defense and ICT Division, from all IDF bodies - the Defense Division, the Air Force, the Navy and the Intelligence Division. The competition, which took place last Thursday under the leadership of the Cyber Center for Excellence of the United States Army, Israeli soldiers competed against each other as well as against defense teams around the world.
The competition dealt with a number of cyber areas with an emphasis on security and protection, the challenges are simulations that simulate real-world situations and examine the pressure of time and the cooperation of the teams.
The competition lasted 4 hours, despite the length of the competition, the excitement and professionalism was felt at every moment in the auditorium where the Israeli teams participated.
The IDF notes that this is the first exercise in which defense teams competed in multi-armed cooperation, under the cyber defense system established this year.
The exercise led by the US Army allows the IDF to work with our partners in an exercise environment that gives an opportunity to meet new partners and especially creates a new and challenging training environment - one that contributes to maintaining the operational competence of the IDF cyber defense system.
