The poet Abbas Hayrouka considers that the poem does not have a specific style in which to define it, but rather it is a creative product open to beauty that presents various topics of interest to the intellectual and the human being in general.

In an interview with SANA, Haruka believes that we cannot be biased towards a certain poetic form unless it possesses aesthetic features that excel over others without affecting the content so as not to drop the emotional and artistic value of the text.

Haruka, who holds the secretariat of the Poetry Society of the Arab Writers Union, confirms that writing poetry is not an easy matter, as it is the result of the accumulation of knowledge and cultures based on emotional sentiment and present an important cultural product of a spontaneous nature, but only the owner of the true talent can write it.

Regarding the presence of poetry in the current cultural movement, the owner of the poetry group (Water Hymns) pointed out the existence of poets who maintained their ability and presence despite “the chaos left by the terrorist war and through which poets with weak talent appeared on the pulpits.”

And about his vision of the role of criticism in shedding light on the real poetic talents, the poet talks about what he finds in the absence of the role of effective criticism in many cases and its limitation to praise, which made its impact negatively.

In the conclusion of his speech, the poet Hayrouka asserts that the advancement of our national culture to contribute to its role in the post-war reconstruction requires upgrading the work of official cultural institutions to form a common national system whose essence is belonging.

It is noteworthy that the poet Abbas Hayrouqa was born in Masyaf in 1972, a member of the Arab Writers Union, who writes poetry, story and criticism. He has received a number of literary prizes inside and outside Syria.
