Separatism: religions denounce a law which "puts cults under supervision"

Protestants, Jews, Catholics and Muslims consider that it modifies the text of 1905 by giving a great power of administrative police, control and repression to the prefects.


In wanting to fight against Islamist “separatism” with a law deemed too restrictive by all religions, the government risks making an unexpected separation between religions and the State.

All religions, including Islam, are certainly in agreement in opposing Islamism, central object of "the law consolidating the principles of the Republic" but, warns Haim Korsia, Chief Rabbi of France,
