The Iraqi Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, and the Syrian ambassador to Baghdad, Satam Jadaan Al-Dandah, discussed today prospects and ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of water resources management.
In a statement received by the SANA correspondent in Baghdad, a copy of it was received by the Ministry that Al-Hamdani and Al-Dandah emphasized during the meeting “the importance of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in exceptional circumstances such as scarcity and floods and the continuation of holding meetings of bilateral technical committees to discuss common issues regarding water resources and the possibility of cooperation in the field of studying and implementing water projects and transferring Experiences on the topic of optimal use of groundwater and combating desertification.
