Today (31st) following the discovery of a giant wild boar trap and the arrest of two men in Yuen Long afternoon, a similar incident occurred in Lai Chi Kok at night.
Nearly 10pm, the police received a report stating that three men were hunting wild boars on Cheung Hang Road, Lai Chi Kok, near a garbage dump. The police arrived at the scene to investigate and found that a wild boar’s leg was clamped in a trap with blood flowing like death. The case is classified as cruelty to animals, and the perpetrator is being investigated, and personnel from the SPCA have been notified to assist.
Sources at the scene said that a trap was found at a garbage dump on a hillside about 50 meters in front of Changkeng Village. A passer-by witnessed three men culling wild boars with hard objects. It is not ruled out that some people took the opportunity because wild boars came to the dump for food. Set up a trap to catch wild boars.
