France has just narrowly escaped a third confinement, while it continues to identify more than 20,000 new cases per day and with more than 75,000 deaths, it is the seventh country in the world where the coronavirus has made the more casualties.

This is confirmed by the Lowy Institute, an Australian think-tank which unveiled its “Covid performance index” at the end of last week.
Based on six objective criteria (number of cases, number of deaths, number of screenings per 1,000 inhabitants, etc.), this index compares the health response provided by 98 countries around the world, during the 36 weeks following the 100th confirmed case coronavirus in all of them.
New Zealand first
Unsurprisingly, it is New Zealand, a country already praised many times for its excellent management of the crisis, which comes first in this ranking.
