AMLO reappears on video after days of absence due to covid-19 1:30
(CNN) - Mexican
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) is still recovering from covid-19, Mexican Interior Minister Olga Sánchez said at a press conference on Monday.
"The president is doing very well with mild symptoms, he is in full recovery and is exercising his functions and attending to the public affairs that are necessary and we hope that he will complete his period of voluntary isolation in the best possible way," said Sánchez.

AMLO diagnosed with Covid-19 on January 24 and has continued to work from the Presidential Palace while in isolation and recovering.
Sánchez said he believes López Obrador will resume his daily morning press conferences for next Monday.
Over the weekend, AMLO delivered a lengthy video address from the Presidential Palace to address rumors about his health and let the people of Mexico and the world know that he is doing well as he recovers from the coronavirus.

Mexico currently has 1,864,260 confirmed cases of covid-19 and at least 158,536 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
