The number of detainees in the attempted lynching incident by the enforcement forces, which occurred on December 21, rose to five yesterday • Four detainees arrested last week were released under house arrest
A 34-year-old Bnei Brak resident was arrested yesterday by police on suspicion of being involved in an incident of assaulting police officers in the city on Thursday, December 21st.
The police intend to ask the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court today (Monday) to extend his detention.

Police began investigating the incident upon receiving a report of a serious assault of three police officers from the Licensing Unit during their activities in the city of Bnei Brak.
A riot broke out at the scene that lasted until four in the morning.
As you may recall, some suspects gathered on December 21 around a vehicle in which officers were sitting on duty, throwing stones and planks at them, in a manner that caused their injury.
The suspects turned themselves in at the Bnei Brak station.

Last week and a day after the court extended by three days the detention of the four suspects in the attempted lynching of police officers, the police decided to release the four from detention.
This is despite the court's decision to extend their detention.
They will be under house arrest for five days and will be removed for 15 days from the street where the lynching attempt took place.
Meanwhile, the police said that an analysis of the findings and evidence from the scene of the incident about ten days ago led to the arrest of four other suspects last week and the arrest of another suspect today.
