Member of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Egyptian House of Representatives, Alaa Essam, expressed his great appreciation for the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army during its war on terrorism, stressing that the Egyptian national security is linked to the security of Syria.
In a statement to Russia Today, Essam stressed that the Syrian state is standing as a wall against the US-Zionist imperialist plan aimed at dividing the Arab world and weakening its armies.
For his part, Egyptian Member of Parliament Mustafa Bakri affirmed in a similar statement that Syria is the first line of defense for the Arab region, indicating that it supported Egypt in its war against terrorism.
The Egyptian parliamentarian described the relations between Egypt and Syria as historical and a common destiny, calling for the return of the Syrian-Egyptian relations to their previous state.
He said, "Syria is the first line of defense in the north, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has repeatedly emphasized the nature of that relationship and the need to preserve its territorial integrity and not to interfere in its internal affairs."
