Invited on France Inter this Monday, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, spoke about the revelations of Mediapart concerning the judicial information for rape which targets him.
After consulting the file of the preliminary investigation and the hearing reports, the information site unveiled on Friday exchanges, in which the former member of the UMP would relaunch the complainant several times, while the latter did not would express only refusals.

"
The absolute (and) total violation of the secrecy of instruction, obviously, no longer surprises anyone,
" declared the elected official from Tourcoing (Hauts-de-France) in the preamble.

"Extremely low attacks"
Closed and then relaunched in June 2020, the judicial information concerns facts that occurred in 2009. Gérald Darmanin, then UMP legal advisor, is accused by Sophie Patterson-Spatz, a former party activist, of having abused of his power to obtain sexual favors.
On December 14, the tenant of Beauvau - who maintains that the relationship was granted - himself asked to be heard once again by the judges.
He has since been placed under the status of "assisted witness".
While the revelations of Mediapart could strike the line of defense established by the minister, the latter sees "
extremely low attacks
" due to his political status.

We prefer to make false leaks, because obviously all that is very largely arranged.
Other than disgust, I don't quite see what that inspires.
I wish everyone not to be slandered,
”he said.
