Green light for the new building yard next to the fire brigade on Landsberger Straße: After the planning and construction committee, the city council has now unanimously approved the change to the zoning plan and the preparation of a development plan.

- Until the latest decision, several city council periods had passed.
"The topic haunts me for more than half of my life in the city council," said Albert Bosch (CSU), the long-time building yard consultant in the city council.
But at the current location on the land, a new city quarter is to be built soon.
Time was of the essence.
The building yard has now found a new home on Landsberger Straße between the forest cemetery, the nursery and the fire department.
However, questions of detail are still open.
In addition to an environmentally friendly construction method, a good appearance is important to the city councils.
The new building yard is intended to shape the entrance to the town.
Nevertheless, Bosch recommends pragmatism and a modular design so that it can be easily added if necessary.
In addition, the building yard manager and the city gardener should be involved in the planning, said Bosch.
And should the dilapidated salt store at the current location prove to be no longer usable, it should be built at the new location right away.
In the course of the new building, the toilet facility at the forest cemetery should also be built, demanded Bosch.
This has failed so far due to the lack of water pipes.
Bosch believes that the request expressed in the planning committee for an open building yard cannot be fulfilled.
“It's a works depot that needs to be fenced in,” he argued.
Andreas Lohde (CSU), on the other hand, said it was a bit more open, especially with the building for the yard management and customer traffic.
Apartments for employees are also to be built on the site.
Lohde doesn't understand why they want to make these available to schoolchildren and trainees.
"We need them for employees or volunteers who are active in the fire service," he said.
Thomas Brückner (Greens) asked for sensitive handling of the surrounding green areas.
He suggested that the buildings be located on the south side of the site in order to have a continuous strip of green towards the forest cemetery.
Markus Droth (FW) suggested that the topic of innovative fuels should be considered and that appropriate lines should be laid with foresight.
After all, a large part of the fleet of the fire brigade and building yard will be on Landsberger Straße in the future.
The city council should be involved in the detailed planning, demanded Philipp Heimerl (SPD).
According to city planning officer Johannes Dachsel, a project development phase will follow.
Then the matter goes back to the city council.
He estimates one to one and a half years for the land-use planning.
