Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi spoke today (Tuesday) with his Moroccan counterpart, Foreign Minister Nasser Burita, Ashkenazi wrote in a short tweet on the social network Twitter.
This is the first conversation between the two, since relations between the two countries were renewed, and Borita's second conversation with a senior Israeli official since the Biden administration took office.
I had a warm and friendly first conversation today with my Moroccan counterpart, Mr.
Nasser Bourita.
We agreed to work together to rapidly implement the agreements between Morocco & Israel.
We also discussed increasing bilateral cooperation as well as wider regional issues.

The foreign minister discussed regional strategic issues, including the fear that Iran would arm itself with nuclear weapons.
They also talked about setting up work teams in various fields, including water, agriculture, tourism, environment, energy and more.
It was also agreed between the two to maintain continuous and direct contact.
They instructed the office managers to promote the work teams and mutual delegations.
Ashkenazi and Burita also arranged to meet as soon as possible, due to the limitations of the corona.
