In a letter sent by the Admor Rabbi Josiah Pinto, he addressed the question and replied at length as follows:



“In kissing a Torah scroll, place the tallit on the Torah scroll and kiss the tallit.

And in kissing the tombs of the righteous they place their hand on the score and kiss.

It is known that on the graves of the righteous many evil spirits come and seek redress for their souls.



Therefore we found a contradiction in the words of our holy Rabbi Ari, who on the one hand writes not to go to the tombs of the righteous and on the other hand writes yes to go to the tombs of the righteous. And you want, just to go to the tomb is a problem, there are many spirits in the house. Makes an answer and knows how to walk correctly, a tremendous right to walk and prostrate.

And when a person goes to the grave of a Tzaddik and tells his problems and desires in his heart and asks the Tzaddik to recommend righteousness in heaven to him, the Tzaddik goes down in his rank to see and hear the troubles and then this descent is for her need, the Tzaddik rises to another rank.
