The Education Bureau today issued a questionnaire survey on the four core subjects of high school to secondary school principals. In terms of general studies, five suggested names for the new subject were mentioned, including "Citizenship and State", "National and Social Studies", and "Civilization and Society". After the new subject curriculum has been revised, apart from the deletion of IES, it has also become four major themes, "Hong Kong under "One Country, Two Systems"", "Country Since Reform and Opening Up", "Interconnected Contemporary World" and "Chinese Culture and Modern Life" "The total class hours are expected to be 130 to 150 hours, and those related to national conditions account for about two-thirds of the class hours.

The first three topics are about 45 to 50 hours. The focus of the study includes understanding the "Overall National Security Concept", "Hong Kong National Security Law", the constitutional relationship between the state and Hong Kong (sovereignty is in China), and "Hong Kong's participation in national affairs" Contributions and benefits", the country’s achievements in different fields in recent years, the focus of the country’s most recent five-year development plan and related policies.

The mainland expedition part does not require an examination, the diploma examination is simplified into one test paper

The "Chinese Culture and Modern Life" is the part of the mainland investigation. There are about 10 hours of study hours and no public examination is involved. Students will go to the mainland for investigation and experience the conservation and inheritance of Chinese culture in society.

In addition, the assessment model of the new Liberal Studies Diploma Examination has been simplified into one test paper.

The questionnaire also provides consultation on the total test time, ranging from 1 hour 45 minutes to approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

The new paper no longer has long-answer questions. There are short questions or multiple-choice questions in Part A, with a score of 30% of the test paper; Part B is a data-response question with a proportion of 70%.
