At least two FBI agents have died and three others have been injured in a shooting that took place early Tuesday during an operation
against a child pornography suspect
in Sunrise, a Florida city in the urban conglomerate of Miami.
The Sunrise Police Department has indicated that officers were executing a federal arrest warrant along with other officers at an apartment complex around 6 a.m. when the shooting occurred.
A suspect
barricaded himself in the house for hours
, in an event that appears to be over, according to police.
Two of the injured officers have been hospitalized and are stable, as reported by NBC.

Two of the injured officers were taken to a hospital, where they are in stable condition.
The FBI did not release the status of the third wounded agent or the names of the officers who died.
In a tweet just after 9 a.m., police said the location where the shooting had occurred was already safe, but asked area residents to stay home due to an ongoing investigation.
