The community of Taufkirchen is growing.

Therefore a new children's house with five groups is necessary.

The planning has started.

Taufkirchen

- It is a duty of the community to provide daycare places for children.

Taufkirchen has already reached its limits in this regard.

“We have expanded again and again over the past few years, adding new groups and children's houses, but unfortunately it is already so far that all the places are full,” Christine Empl informed the local council.

As a consequence, the committee decided to press ahead with the concrete planning for another children's home with up to five daycare groups.

Empl, the clerk in the town hall, calculated that 450 children are currently being looked after in seven facilities (crèches, kindergartens and day-care centers) by six different providers.

In the new forest group, attended by twelve children, eight places are still available, in Moosen there is still one in the mixed-age group.

The Pauli-Bekehr-Kindergarten is to be expanded, but the expansion is progressing relatively slowly.

There are currently 26 crèche children being looked after in containers.

To determine the needs, one observes the number of births, which are increasing in Taufkirchen.

This also increases the need for childcare places.

According to Empl, there used to be around 80 births per year in the community, in recent years over 100, around three quarters of them in the Taufkirchen school district, the rest in Moosen.

Last year there were 96 births.

In addition to the births, the resulting living space would be used as the basis for the needs assessment.

Empl estimated that 480 residential units will be built in Taufkirchen over the next five to ten years, 400 of them in Taufkirchen and 80 in Moosen.

Areas would be better used, often multi-span with several apartments.

Both factors together would mean an additional requirement of 40 kindergarten places and ten crèche places in five years, Empl projected.

At the same time, the number of students would also increase.

So it could be that the Moosen elementary school will soon have a two-class year again.

The Taufkirchener Hort is also full.

However, there is a certain degree of security here because the students who are now spending their lunchtime in the multi-generation house would move into the new building at the middle school.

Then you have more space again.

Councilor Stephan Bachmayer (EiMo) asked whether the extension of the Moosen children's home, which is about to open, could still be rescheduled to accommodate more children.

It does justice to Moosen's needs, Empl replied, adding that the Taufkirchen parents want to send their children to kindergarten where their children will go to school later.

Of course, if there are bottlenecks, Taufkirchen children will also be accommodated in Moosen, if possible.

CSU Councilor Anneliese Mayer thanked Taufkirchen for the fact that “far-sighted planning” was taking place.

In other municipalities there are not enough daycare places.

She is pleased that another children's home is being planned in good time.
