Kovacs is a global initiative created after the start of the Corona pandemic, with the aim of distributing nearly two billion doses of anti-virus vaccines to poor countries.

Wang called on the international community to play an active role and take concrete measures to support Kovacs and the work of the World Health Organization to help developing countries receive vaccines in a timely manner and contribute to defeating the global epidemic.
Wang also stressed the continuation of cooperation between Chinese companies and making joint efforts to convert Corona vaccines into global public goods and enhancing access to vaccines and affordability in developing countries, expressing his hope that the World Health Organization would complete the review of the license for the emergency use of the Chinese vaccine as soon as possible. .
It is reported that China signed an agreement with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) to formally join the Kovacs initiative on the eighth of last October, and it is expected to start distributing vaccines in low and middle income countries this month.
