According to Louisiana authorities, Beaux Cormier paid to kill the woman who would testify against him in a sex crime case. The hit men he hired ended up killing Cormier's sister and a neighbor. Now the man can face the death penalty.

A Louisiana man facing rape charges tried to have the woman accusing him killed, but the two hit men he hired to commit the crime ended up killing his own sister and a neighbor, authorities said Monday.

Brittany Cormier and Hope Nettleton died after being shot while Cormier's two daughters were hiding in a closet in the same house where the crime took place.

The attack was orchestrated by Beaux Cormier, the brother of one of the victims, and another man.

Terrebonne Parish Police reported at a press conference that the initial objective of the two hitmen was to end the life of another woman who accuses Breaux Cormier of rape.

He paid the murderers to kill her before she could testify against him.

The county sheriff, Tim Soignet, noted that the dramatic event that occurred on January 13 began when the two gunmen entered the house located in the small town of Montegut and asked the women if one of them was the victim of the violation.
