Horror scene in La Défense.
This Wednesday, a woman died, in the middle of the forecourt of the business district, under the wheels of a service van.
According to several witnesses, the van in question - stolen a few seconds earlier from the cleaning teams of the public establishment Paris La Défense - would have deliberately charged on the victim, around 5 p.m., causing another injured in the process.
The man, who was behind the wheel of this vehicle, then tried to flee immediately after the incident.
He was identified and arrested a stone's throw from the business district by the police from the security and intervention company (CSI), when he was about to jump on the rails of the RER A.
“This is a homeless man whose face is well known to regulars at La Défense, blows a source close to the file.
He would have had a dispute with at least one of the two people on whom he rushed ... "
According to several witnesses, a violent altercation would indeed have broken out between the presumed author, aged 46, and his two victims.
At the end of this argument, the individual would have managed to seize the service vehicle and rush on the other two people.
He was taken into police custody for murder.
