Two Norwegian parliamentarians stated on February 1 that they nominated Martin Lee, founding chairman of the Hong Kong Democratic Party and senior barrister, to compete for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The two MPs are Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde (Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde) and Peter Frolich (Peter Frolich), both from the Conservative Party of Norway.
The two also nominated Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny (Alexei Navalny, also translated as Navalny).

Tibling-Yed said that Martin Lee founded the Hong Kong Democratic Party in 1990 and devoted his life to democracy and human rights issues. He also mentioned that he is currently facing charges. The two MPs hope to inspire the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong through nomination. Promote freedom around the world.
According to the Nobel Peace Prize mechanism, members of legislative bodies, university professors, and former winners of various countries have the right to nominate candidates. The Norwegian Nobel Committee conducts selection every year, but the organizer will not disclose who is nominated, and the nomination list will be kept confidential 50 years.
